“Sin” is not moral failure. “Sin” is mistaken identity.

“Because of righteousness” means:

“How can my spirit be ‘alive’ if I still feel anxious/depressed/hijacked?”

Response: Feelings arise in the “body” (the hijacked DMN). The “spirit” (The Listener) witnesses them.

The spirit is not a feeling. The spirit is the awareness that witnesses feelings.

“Your spirit is alive” means:

  • You can witness the anxiety (not identify with it)
  • You can recognize the depression as arising (not believe you ARE it)
  • You can see the hijacked patterns (without being controlled by them)

If you can witness, the spirit is alive.

“Does this mean I ignore the ‘body’ (physical needs, emotions)?”

Response: No. The “body” in Romans 8:10 is the false self (ego-narrative), not the physical body.
